Since 2020, Déli’s eyesight has gradually deteriorated. Painful, swollen, watery eyes eventually gave way to complete vision loss in her right eye, while her left eye could only make out blurred shapes.

Over time, her condition profoundly disrupted not only her life, but also that of her teenage son.

His education and youth were quietly sacrificed to make up for his mother’s loss of autonomy.

The announcement of a free cataract surgery campaign at Man Hospital marked a turning point. Déli immediately registered for surgery.
