Ruth Bolan serves as the Chief Development Officer and is responsible for the team that raises philanthropic revenue for Cure Blindness Project. She is motivated to increase support for our work which has such a profound impact on families' lives. Blindness is curable and working together it is a problem we can solve.

She began her career as a Producer on Broadway and in Hollywood and has worked in the non-profit sector for over 20 years. She has led organizations including The Hawaii Theatre Center and Pacific Islanders in Communications. As a fundraiser, she has worked at The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, City of Hope and Kiva. While at City of Hope, Ruth was responsible for galas honoring Jon Platt of Sony Music Publishing, and Sylvia Rhone of Epic Records. These events feature benefit performances by Beyonce, Alicia Keys and Sara Bareilles.

Ruth lives in Honokaa, Hawaii and enjoys hiking, gardening, reading, cooking and spending time with her husband, her 4 sheep, 3 adult children, and 2 dogs.
