Diro Tafa has been serving as the Finance and Administration Manager for HCP since 2021. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of HCP’s Ethiopia office, including managing the financial and accounting systems, administration oversight, grant management, and communications.
Diro earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the International Leadership Institute, an affiliate of Greenwich University at Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Finance from Jimma University.
Prior to joining HCP, Diro’s experience focused on financial management and accounting, grant management and procurement, and administration within government and INGOs in sectors including community development, livelihood, education, vulnerable children, health systems, HIV, reproductive health, neglected tropical diseases, and eye care. He has also worked with the Ethiopian Christian Children’s Fund, European Union Project under the Ministry of Finance, Care International, Pact Ethiopia, and Light for the World International.
