Stewart Halpern is a financial executive with more than 30 years experience as a Chief Financial Officer of public and private companies and as an equity analyst and investment banker with several major Wall Street firms.
Halpern began his career as an investment banker at Credit Suisse First Boston, and later was a Institutional Investor-ranked sellside equity analyst at ING Furman Selz, Banc of America Securities and RBC Capital Markets.
From 1991-1992, he served as Advisor to the Ministry of Privatization of Czechoslovakia.
Halpern has also served as the Chief Financial Officer for Mad Catz Interactive, videogame publisher Rockstar Games, and entertainment entrepreneur Russell Simmons’ Rush Communications.
In 2014, Mr. Halpern was appointed to the Independent Taxpayers Oversight Committee of the San Diego Association of Governments.
Currently, Halpern is Senior Advisor and a member of the Board of Directors of Roovy, Inc. He is also an active member of several non-profit Board of Directors, including: San Diego Coastkeeper, America's Finest Charter School (San Diego, CA) and the Free Flight Exotic Bird Sanctuary (Del Mar, CA).
Halpern received his BS in Administrative Sciences with honors from Yale College and a Masters in Public and Private Management from the Yale School of Management.
