Ageru is a multidisciplinary professional with a demonstrated track record at Regional, National, and International Levels. In the last 14 years in the health sector, he played key roles in generating evidence for decision making, advocacy for policy influencing, resource mobilization, addressing gender equity in health service, research, monitoring, and evaluating the health system in general eye care.

Before joining HCP, He worked with The Fred hollows Foundation, Population services international (PSI), Family Guidance Association of Ethiopia and Mari Stopes International in different capacities.

Ageru secured a master’s degree in Business Administration-MBA, BA in Management, and a minor in Economics and is a first-class honor graduate student in both under and postgraduate studies. He also secured an advanced diploma in Medical Laboratory from Jimma university at a different time.

He secured Certifications in Health System Strengthening, Global Blindness, Addressing Equity in Health, Gender M&E, Economic Evaluation in Health, Fundamentals of Implementation Research, Project management, Social Marketing, and many others.
