Johnson & Johnson Vision Launches Worldwide Campaign in Honor of World Sight Day

news | Oct 30, 2019

The campaign will provide 1,000 cataract surgeries and 100,000 eye exams to children through HCP and Lions Club International Foundation's Sight For Kids

The Himalayan Cataract Project is one of two Signature Initiatives supported by Johnson & Johnson Vision (J&JV). In honor of World Sight Day on October 10, 2019, J&JV launched a worldwide campaign to share the untold stories of eye care professionals, patients, and organizations who are inspiring the elevation of eye health as a global priority and demonstrating how the world is #ConnectedBySight.

HCP Director of Development, Julie Bond, visited the J&J Vision Headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida to speak at a global staff town hall event about the work HCP is doing to eradicate needless blindness and how it is further leveraged by Johnson & Johnson Vision's support.

As part of the celebration, J&JV launched a crowd-sourcing campaign through Johnson & Johnson’s Donate a Photo App. For every image someone uploads to HCP’s profile on the Donate a Photo site, J&JV will donate $1.

You can contribute one dollar per day to HCP by visiting www.donateaphoto.com and sharing your favorite photos! J&JV will donate up to $25,000 through December 31.
